Hail here off and on since yesterday. Power off and on several times. Wind. Supposed to get several inches of rain here, up to 5 in some areas. A friend in the mountains has 2 feet so far and more coming. He’s snowed in, obviously. Snow in foothill locations also.

That much rain could be a flood in many areas, maybe that is true where you are, since I think that much rain is unusual.  Here in NYC, the City is building a lot of rain catches due to increases in rain and flooding, due to global climate change.  Hope every one is safe.

@CatsyCline   it's a small airport.  It depends on the conditions.   I hope she gets lucky.   I live in Ventura County just south of Montecito .   I don't live in a flood area, but we got a lot of rain and wind here.  I just went outside and my neighbor huge potted plants and an umbrella on a huge heavy base are on the ground.   She is pretty exposed where as everything on my patio is still standing.

@Teddixat    That storm will sweep through Albuquerque tomorrow.  We'll get big winds, the temperature will drop a little and probably not a drop of rain.  It must get wrung out over you in California.

@Kachina624 , I have not been -here- for weeks, but answered a lot of notifications

I speak about you often to my husband ( laughing because my car had stopped dead) in Albuquerque, once, driving to California for modeling.

At that time, I would not fly, but certainly do a lot of traveling by plane, now.

I associate you, with me being that close to -maybe-where you, are now, even though you may have lived else at that time.

I wanted to ask if permitted; how is your little one doing that you had shown several months ago, also your back?

hugs, ⛄️. then more sunshine weather, soon.

Re: Blizzard expected in L.A.

I am in Reno, It has snowed, today sunny and cold so far.  It really is not the amount of snow we get it is how the city handles it.  None of the store parking lots are plowed, it really is a mess, seldom see a snow plow.  Streets are clear only if they are busy streets and it is the drivers not the snow plows. We have had two snow days and now the school district is using the words: "distance learning" no one wants that.  Parents are wondering why not just add more school days in June.  My friend was visiting from Buffalo and was kind of shocked that there was a snow day.  If the city would take care of the streets buses could get kids to school.  How is snow handled in your cities.

@NAES1   Based on your experience in Albuquerque, we're practically Sisters of the Desert.  I've on been here since 1999, so if was before that, I wasn't here.

By "little one" I assume you mean one of my two dogs?  They are the only little ones that I've got.  They're doing fine, thank you.

My back is always the same, painful and disabling.

It seems that I've seen you name here off and on for a long time but I don't think we've ever spoken.  I'm glad to get to know you better.
