Do you cover your Birds cage at night or are your birds put in another room? Also how many hours does your bird stay covered or in another room?
I have a 15 year old double yellow headed amazon parrot. Our vet suggested putting her in another room at night for like 12 hours or even a closet. She has never been covered or put in another room. We are up at all hours in this house, me being the night owl. I try to keep most lights off but the TV is on. I am also doing dishes or painting my nails or stuff like that. She goes into her house when we turn the lights off and looks like she is sleeping but the vet says they need total darkness and quiet time. What do you do for your birds at bedtime.
