YES!

My formerly silver SUV is now purple polka dotted, thanks to the birds and the berries.

We had a mulberry bush located near our pool fence. We had stained concrete and chairs. What a mess.

Re: Birds are dropping dead all around my house...

if the birds are eating the fermented mulberries they can get drunk and they can die..........happens all the time here........lots of mulberrie trees here because of the shade they offer...................................raven

Re: Birds are dropping dead all around my house...

I got an answer -

The birds are getting drunk on the mulberries, they go to fly away and knock themselves into the wall. The tree is in a pretty narrow area between a 5 story building and a 3 story building...they have problems figuring out where to go.

Some just knock themselves out and recuperate...every now and then one dies.

Our property manager told me the two that looked "dead" - on their backs - got up and flew away after a while...he saw them lying there, went to get a plastic bag to put them in and when he came back, they were gone!

The one I saw this morning just sitting on the grass was loaded too...and finally flew away.

What a relief!

Hahaha .... they may be why I liked them so much. Good think I didn't fall out of the tree. LOL

I didn't hook them up to a breathalyzer...or even poke them. When birds are on their backs with their legs up in the air....they look dead to me! They were robins...I couldn't figure out how to do CPR.

I assumed yesterday that the groundskeeper had picked them up and thrown them out (or called to have them tested).

Good thing indeed, Preds.

Then everybody walking by would have had to say,

OH MY, look at her. She is dead - drunk {#emotions_dlg.laugh}
