This keeps coming up ...... Since the statute of limitations has already run out for prosecution, just HOW do you think there are any bucks to be made?
Some women did go to the police years ago, and their statements were on record, but they were told nothing can be done. The startling similarities of the womens' experiences show a very consistent pattern on BC's part.

Sometimes it's not about the punishment. It's about being held accountable.
As someone who saw up close the way this man treats women, I don't care all that much about his sentence. I just want him to be found guilty.

Even if for discussion purposes a small percentage of his accusers are making stuff up, which I don't believe, that leaves a lot of very credible accusations. Would you leave a treasured female in his presence? I know I wouldn't, period.

I agree.
I also would be very careful about accusing women of lying about this. Victims of assault and rape have a tough enough time coming forward.
There's no reason to assume that any of them are jumping on any kind of bandwagon. None of them will get a windfall, and their lives have not been easy since coming forward. There would be little reason to jump into the fray.

Nor do I believe the jury thinks Bill Crosby is innocent. It's simply a matter of proving him guilty. What a difficult case to serve upon!
So much time has lapsed. No tangeable evidence is left. The women who did complain were not taken seriously at the time. Yada, yada, yada.
More power to the prosecution with their second trial. Bless those women who continue the fight for justice against an accused serial rapist. Their stories are all too familiar to not be believed. I pray the truth somehow is able to be told and he is held accountable.

His 'kockiness' is what gets to me. I'd like to smack both their faces.

The previous jury was made up of 7 men and 5 women. I think men tend to cut other men just a little more slack in these cases .... the old benefit of the doubt. I think if the jury had been predominantly women, BC would have been convicted. Just speculation on my part, but I think a predominantly male jury was a big contributing factor there.

The real problems in this case was that it was a "he said, she said" situation without a lot more proof, and that the accuser continued to see Bill Cosby. I don't think that has to do with men or women being on the jury. The burden of proof in criminal cases is with the prosecution. If the jury isn't sure whom to believe, it has to find not guilty or if it can't decide it's a hung jury as in this case.
