@San Antonio Gal   The upper lip was nearly UNBEARABLE!  They just rub a tiny amount of lidocaine and give you stress balls to squeeze.  Tears just automatically stream from your eyes the entire time

I have an older cousin....in her 70s now, who is very petite and was born with lips that fit right into this current trend.  I remember feeling sorry for her years ago.

Interesting to look at some of the royals on The Court Jeweler page.  I was taken aback by this beautiful lady who obviously had no false lashes or lip fillers. Capture.JPG

I think those blown-up fat lips look ridiculous, it's just a fad anyway.

I have naturally 'puffy' full lips, and enhance them a bit with lip liner, which is the best way to make lips look a little fuller and change their shape.

Also, putting a swipe of a light pearly lipstick on both upper and lower lips on top of your regular lipstick in the center will give the impression of fuller lips.

Another trick is to coat your lips with vaseline before bedtime to keep them hydrated and fuller.

Lots of ways to change your lip structure without all that fakery!

  Some people go to far and they look like " blowup dolls " .

One guy was on Botched and kept getting more and more filler  in his lips to the point the Botched doctors  said he was risking loosing blood  supply to his lips.

Hubby calls them bladder lips.  I don't like the look of puffed up lips or ridiculously thick eyebrows.  That's not beauty to me. My lips are fine.  I'm only 63 so they haven't thinned as sometimes happens as we age.  However the bladder lip trend is what some younger women are into.  I don't know why and I don't how they do it.  Probably lip injections.

There are some that are well done and look good. But there seems to be far more that look bad to gosh awful! I can't imagine being stuck with that look for who knows how long.

I certainly have no interest in doing it. In fact, my lips have something going on with them that makes them swell slightly. And 3/4ths of the surface has an enhanced red color...the very tip top of my upper lips still have the pale/normal color I used to have. At times they can burn and tingle slightly. Mentioned it to my family doctor and he was of no help. I guess I will be seeing a dermatologist. And the really odd thing was that my lips got EXTREMELY swollen, RED, and painful a few days before I got Covid. So weird. I truly looked like I had gotten lip injections! 😲

What are your opinions on the look of the fat lips a lot of women are getting?

I myself and my guy. Think they look ridiculous and so many ruin their looks permanently.

@Catastrophe ...

I'm very lucky that at 75 I still have my full lips! I don't like the look of the fake fat lips so many in Hollywood get!! No thanks!! Who comes to mind is Lisa Rhinna of the Housewives! Awful... just awful !!!

She's an attractive lady, but I would love to see her with false lashes and lip liner/lipstick to make her lips look fuller.

Lisa Rinna lips, no...nice naturally full lips, yes please. Mine are fairly full still at 60, but I do find lip glosses so much better than lipsticks.  Maybe a bit of lip liner as well.

Take time every day to enjoy where you are without a need to fix it
