What a blessing! I feel sorry for people who chase youth as they age.  I know some have to, just glad I don't!

I don't think anyone that has surgery or beauty enhancements is chasing youth.  Many just want to improve their appearance.

I think they're hideous. And sometimes they look lumpy.

@Catastrophe I have never had an urge to look like a cartoon guppy. Viewing some public figures  some do, or it is a suprise when they pay all that money then look in the mirror. I have seen some public figures that can barely speak right afterwards.

I think  'puffiness' calms down on some people . I noticed on the Kennedy honors Meg Ryan did look a bit more normal than photos published of her soon after she had all of that 'work' done a few years ago.

I suppose it is a gamble. Personally, I think putting one's $s into healthy food, good health care, lotions and potions, and avoiding direct sun exposure can go a long way to staving off aging looks.

What I want is for my lips to look like they did when I was younger. Today my lips are almost invisible so I have considered getting them filled with a cosmetic injectable but a medical condition I have won't allow it...boo-hoo.

@monicakm   It was unbearable!  Tears streamed down my  face uncontrollably the entire time!  They only rub a little lidocaine on the area, which does NOTHING & give you stress balls to squeeze!

@San Antonio Gal   The upper lip was nearly UNBEARABLE!  They just rub a tiny amount of lidocaine and give you stress balls to squeeze.  Tears just automatically stream from your eyes the entire time

I have an older cousin....in her 70s now, who is very petite and was born with lips that fit right into this current trend.  I remember feeling sorry for her years ago.

Interesting to look at some of the royals on The Court Jeweler page.  I was taken aback by this beautiful lady who obviously had no false lashes or lip fillers. Capture.JPG

I think those blown-up fat lips look ridiculous, it's just a fad anyway.

I have naturally 'puffy' full lips, and enhance them a bit with lip liner, which is the best way to make lips look a little fuller and change their shape.

Also, putting a swipe of a light pearly lipstick on both upper and lower lips on top of your regular lipstick in the center will give the impression of fuller lips.

Another trick is to coat your lips with vaseline before bedtime to keep them hydrated and fuller.

Lots of ways to change your lip structure without all that fakery!
