Enlightening interview tonight with a woman who has written a book about Toronto mayor Rob Ford.

Jon Stewart is one of my fantasy dinner party guests. As brilliant as Stephen Colbert is, the character of Stephen Colbert would get tiresome after a while.

Predictable attempts to turn this thread into a political discussion.

You didn't notice this, upsidedown?

I don't know why you are calling my post out, I was simply agreeing with what was posted but I seriously doubt anyone can discuss these two without the politics that are infused in their 'routines'.

I saw Colbert, out of character, in an interview and he'd be a great dinner guest.

I'd imagine dinner with Jon would be a several hour deal !

Wonder if Colbert would run for office....like Al Franken? Comedian turned politico.

So we're not talking about Steven Tyler and Jon Bonjovi?

Apparently not, but I'd go along with that one too. I like all four of the guys, and I am pretty sure they have the same politics as well.

He would be a lot more intelligent than most of the Congress. If you haven't seen it, look for Colbert's testimony to Congress about migrant workers. Cspan carried it and the footage is out there

His sister ran against Mark Sanford in SC and lost.

And don't forget, Stephen did run for president...of SC !
