Oh, it's OK

Wait. Hold on. Unless, of course, Fox News is attempting to distract us from noticing that rather being a news organization, they are a spite-driven anger machine rooted in a fear that any change in the status quo will inevitably erode our nation's traditional power structure, leading to internment camps for "real" Americans, powered by solar energy and tacos. Wait! Hard shell gay tacos.

It was very funny! I love the two of them - I do miss John Oliver. He was so funny when he filled in for Jon

I think Oliver is getting his own show:-)

I think both are brilliant. For sheer passion and getting right to heart of things it's Jon.

Colbert is quick, witty, well read and so informed and has to have a photographic memory.

so the purpose of this whole thing is just to trash Fox News? why not just do it then and eliminate the rest?

I am a little more partial to Jon, but i think Colbert is great too...he has to play a character from the opposite side of the aisle. Both are brilliant political and contemporary satirists. They and their team of writers do their homework. You can't write great satire without having a pivotal point to begin.

My dream job would be to work on either show. They both have great research teams.

I'm like, don't you guys remember that a camera is rolling ???

No, I think the purpose of this thread was to talk about the merits of Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert as to which was whose favorite. The bashing started from the opposite side of the spectrum, if you look at the whole thread. Why open it and read it, if you are so offended?

correct.

see posts #5, 6 and 8

Predictable attempts to turn this thread into a political discussion.

You didn't notice this, upsidedown?

I don't watch very often but I enjoy both shows. I love watching Colbert interview his guests. Very seldom does anyone get the better of him, his wit is just so quick.

Did anyone see the satirical piece about catapults from Stephen? HILARIOUS!
