My thoughts exactly. My husband says "who would carry a coin like that in their pocket, if not to give it away" and I say "but maybe he just didn't know what the coin was and just got caught up in the moment while he/she was passing by and threw it in the bucket???????
Upon reading further, the coin was wrapped in a dollar bill.... So, I guess it was meant to be....
