I just put some beans in to soak overnight for bean soup tomorrow. It has been so long since I made it I have forgotten.....do I need to put them in the refrigerator while soaking? They were not parboiled first.

Thank you! I knew somebody here would know.

Hey scottie......another thing I learned recently from Lidia.....do not salt anything until you are ready to serve it. It has a tendency to make the beans tough.

Love bean soup......will you be putting any ham in it???? And, is it navy bean soup?????

Oh, thanks for the salt tip ShowMe. I did not know that. YEs, we have a ham bone left over from a spiral. No, not navy, it is one of those mixed bean deals. My baby limas were out of date (It has been a long time LOL!).
