Anyone along the way could have opened the package, awful as that sounds. When I have something expensive to send, I not only insure it, but I take pix and a vid of it as I package it so I can show what was in the box. It's sad but you have to do it.

Thanks for this as I always purchase delivery confirmation but I thought that was enough. Never did I think someone could take the item and the package continue on its way empty.
