I believe they should be banned.

Also in zoos when you see big cats pacing or animals just staring into space, they are distressed. I would prefer that animals no longer be captured and displayed for our entertainment. Children can be taught about animals by viewing videos of them in the wild. I once saw a scifi show where humans were placed behind bars on view by an alien species that considered humans as a lower species. Think about it.
My very animal-oriented daughter did a pen and ink drawing in college (which is on her website) showing obviously humans in a cage and a lion and an animal audience looking in at them. She was always like that and still is.
Here is her website (which is public for anyone to see, as it's part of her freelance business):

I hope the ban is implemented, and that it eventually (sooner rather than later) extends to zoos and resorts that have so-called "swim with the dolphins" and other entertainment devices involving animals.
Sea World is already pulling the "oh but think of the people unemployed" card, which now seems to be the tactic used by so many in defending any kind of change.

It's made my day that so many are in agreement that this bill should pass. I signed the petition in favor of it. There is no justification for enslaving animals.

Sea World is business, they can reinvent themselves. Or go out of business.
Great post.

Watching Blackfisk broke my heart. I hope this news about not using Orcas is true.
I'm sorry I ever took my kids to Seaworld. Who knew back in the day.
