I decided years ago that I would never do business with Bank of America when they came out and said they would open accounts for people without SS numbers. DH and I call it Bank of ———s. But I hope the problem is corrected soon.

@kitcat51.  They may have been hacked so if accounts were frozen, that's a good thing.  Everyone who is anyone has been hacked, it seems.  They seem to have excellent security.

I'm just fed up with BOA...the bank here only has 2 tellers, the outside window is closed, the drive up ATM hasn't worked in over a month & when I tried to use the one inside the lobby, the locked door wouldn't open with my card. I'm done.

BOA closed all their drive up windows which really pi**** me off but I think all the other banks around here did the same.

I don't believe the number that the bank is putting out of 5,000 customers being affected. I think that it's higher. 

Earlier today, two of my coworkers were showing a balance of $0 today, but they booth seemed  unconcerned about it, and stated that the problem would eventually be fixed.

My issue was slightly different.

This morning my balances at a glance were correct, but there was a note saying that my account wasn't currently accessible and to try again later.

Everything looks okay now and I can review the detail.

I had zero balances this afternoon but the credit card balance was still there. Everything has been restored.

If they were the only bank around I would stuff the mattress rather than do business with them.
