@Pearlee This was my first and only response to your post so I'm miffed about your, 'let it go', comment.
I was merely trying to explain, sorry if I've offended you.

Someone else mentioned "explosive news," so I am thinking I have missed something along the way.
@mousiegirl I have no idea about 'explosive' news but as for why Harry isn't part of the inner circle, he's not a meaningful heir to the throne anymore. On top of that Charles' goal is to streamline the 'working' royals, those who serve the royal family in exchange for significant revenue and perks. The true 'senior' royals are the queen, the Prince of Wales and the heir presumptive (William), along, perhaps, with some of the queen's other children and their consorts. Beyond William, George, Charlotte and Louis all now supercede Harry in the line of succession. Harry had apparenty been considered a 'senior' royal by virtue of the fact that he's an heir to the current Prince of Wales (Charles) who is next in line for the throne. As such, he and his consort were expected to perform pretty much full time royal duties and have been receiving considerable funds, housing, staff, security and perks for doing so.
@stevieb Thank you. I can understand better their move to Canada, maybe not so much press there either. My Mother was from Eastern Canada.

@mousiegirl Interestingly enough, it might be that Canada doesn't much want a member of the royal family living there as a resident. Visiting appears to be fine, but maybe a long term residence wouldn't suit the Canadian government... Regardless, my own feeling is that the spot they chose, for now, is a slam dunk for their purposes in that Canada is a Commonwealth country, the location is somewhat remote by comparison and yet is but a hop, skip and jump from the westeren United States.

This editorial piece from The Globe & Mail in Canada explains it pretty well:
According to the piece, members of the royal family can't live in Canada. It doesn't go deep in to the details of the constitutional taboo, but does provide an overview. Additionally, the piece indicates that, at least at press time, Canada had not agreed to pick up the tab for their security costs.
