Merry Christmas & Happy Hanukkah
Boy, did I get taken big time.
"NoraCora" ads pop up in Facebook, in newsfeeds, wherever. Well, I bit, in my desire to purchase cute tops and a sweater for my DD back in November. No, nothing has arrived and nothing ever will.
NoraCora does follow through with some of the order it receives. However, after finally reading reviews, it's all junk and terribly sized.
I found out their true colors last even when my husband was doing the weekly review and pay of bills, noting a $102+charge on 12/6 to a weirdly named company. He asked if I had made such a purchased, to which I replied "No." I got on the phone straight away to Chase and spoke with Max in India. Seems on 12/5 Chase had denied 2 purchases in the amount of $600+ and $500,+ but had let the $100+ pass through, as it met a certain criteria, which I get.
Bottom line: Someone at NoraCora used my credit card in an attempt to make over $1,200+ in purchases in an undisclosed Asian country. We're not responsible for any of the charges; our Chase cards were cxl'd last night; and, Chase is reporting this vendor, and going after the $100+, as much as they are able, given that this is an Int'l matter.
Just don't get whooshed into NoraCora as I did, because the fashion look is too good to be true, because they were exactly that!
And, though I know some of you have had not good experiences with Chase, we've had nothing but great ones for nearly 25 years. I really appreciated the fact that I could talk to their rep in India, provide the information I had on my end and by the end of the conversation, was confident in knowing I could sleep last night. (Plus woke up to a very comprehensive email re next steps, etc., with lots of useful information, which is probably par for the course with many financial institutions.)
Hope this just might help someone out there.
