I ordered a Verdigris lantern on Tuesday from Valerie. Well found out that it was Big Deal, half price. So CS gave me Big Desl price. What she did was reorder it at new price and when she did it went to backorder because it’s no longer available. I am not happy.

I should have waited and got price adjustment after the lantern arrived.

Yes, me too.  They should be ashamed.  I refuse to "play" their little games!

Sometimes it pays to be patient as it's to your advantage.  I doubt they are "playing games."  If you feel it's being done on purpose, how would you prove such a thing.  People keep buying and then complaining.  Why would one "play that game."  ????

The one that really "got" me was when QVC cancelled an auto delivery to me of Dr. Denese products.  BUT, the exact set was still avaiable, and selling, on the QVC website (at a higher price).  The CS person said that they could not substitute  one for the other, even though it was the same thing.  The people who made a commitment to take the auto deliveries should come first!

@rms1954   The prices jumping all over the place, up, down, and back again, with all the different categories: QVC price, TSV, OTO, sale price, clearance price, clearance sale price, Lunchtime specials, and so on.  It seems like a big retail shopping experiment to me.  How can they make the most money by constantly switching things up.....  That is just the feeling I get.  I have no idea what they are doing.  I wonder if QVC does.

People seem to forget that QVC is in business to sell product.  If they have it available, they are only too eager to ship it out and get rid of it, freeing up space for new merchandise.  They are way too busy to play games with shipping things out.  If it won't ship immediately, its not readily available.

Had several items that after a week went to backorder (including 2 currently). The others were cancelled eventually by QVC.  Went to Kohls (a 5 min drive away) and bought several items I liked better.  Shopping online just makes me lazy and makes me buy overpriced items.  Gotta stop.

I agree about auto delivery though.  They push and push AD so you are “never without”. But they cancel so many AD.  If it’s truly gone, ok, but not when you are selling the exact items. Not right.

I have 2 items bought in April that have been on backorder for weeks.  Two other items are a few days past the expected delivery date.  I expect these to go on backorder soon. QVC will probably cancel them and a few days or a week later miraculously they will be back in stock with a higher price.  That's what happened to me with a S Graver item.
