Worst..the first thing that comes to mind were these small, set of 6 battery operated lanterns for my deck, many moons ago...ate batteries (double A) up weekly...back they went. Honestly, I can't think of other items, though I've definitely had other returns for various reasons...but those lanterns were pure junk, made in China.

Those battery-powered lanterns were definitely the worst thing I ever bought from QVC. They were great to use on evening dog walks to light the way--for about a month. Then they quickly deteriorated. The handles broke. The bulbs broke. The cases cracked. The battery compartments corroded. It was by then too late to return them. Pure junk.

Re: BEST and WORST QVC Purchases.

Best Dr. Denise.  Been using most of her products for years and people compliment me all the time on my face skin and eyes.

Also use to  likd Denim and Co., until last couple of years. Tops not cheap, in price, but cheap in material

The worst is all the food items I've brought on QVC.  The one exception was the Fruit cake I brought last year.  Absolutely very good and will get again this year.  I was never a Fruit cake person, but this one was very good.

I don't watch QVC any more, just check online once in a while to see what is being offerd.

They use to have fun programs years ago in the Joan River days and hosts like Mary Beth, Kafthy Levin, and a few others, but can't remember their names. Different cute programs with the Boyd bears, the victorian shows, even the big production of Kirk's follies.  Dennis Bosco, Stan Herman, jBob Mackie, just nice stuff.

It's  now a different era.

I think the quality of items has definitely improved over the years. The best purchases have been a few Dooney Handbags and also a few home decor items from Luminara and VPH. Really can't think of anything bad except a few returns for off sizing on clothing items.

Re: BEST and WORST QVC Purchases.

Wow, I too consider the Pilates Performer I bought over 20 years ago to be one of the best purchases. I always regretted not buying the stand so I was pleasantly surprised to see it offered here on QVC.  I bought it last month and it's perfect.

The worst items were probably food.  I got two different orders of those honeybells oranges that were rotten.

The table mate folding tables are wonderful. Still have the one we bought for our youngest son when he was about five, he's in his thirties now.

Love the dyna traps, they really work.

Very dissapointed in clothing now.quality is not there, and don't want to wear recycled plastic clothing.

Oooh! Just remembered my absolute worst QVC purchase.

A few years back I bought a large ceramic roasting pan with a lid. The first time I put it in the oven it started smoking and turning black. The description said it was good up to 425F but the oven was set at only 385F.

I pulled it out of the oven and the house stunk to high heaven. A heavy chemical stench. There was smoke everywhere. I dumped out the food and put the roaster outside.

I called customer service and they told me to ship it back to QVC. So I packed it up in the original packing and box. I had to leave it outside until I could drive it to the post office because the whole box stunk badly and you could smell it from feet away.

I felt sorry for the post office people to whom I handed the big stinky box. It was bad, really bad.

Edit: It was a "Technique Flameproof Oval Covered Casserole." I think David demonstrated it cooking on a grill.

Re: BEST and WORST QVC Purchases.

I'll be first to admit that I've spent way too much on QVC purchases in the past; I've reeled it in now for a number of reasons.

Things I still use nearly every day: Vitamix (I think I got one of the first ones presented nearly 10 years ago); the Kuhn Rikon bottle/jar opener. I've got a backup just in case this one breaks. With my arthritic hands, I just cannot open things without this little tool. Other favorites are some pieces of jewelry bought way back when the designs interested me; Northern Nights linens (quality is different now, however); Rastelli burgers; Dooney handbags; Lori Felt jeans; silicone set of kitchen tools (would buy more if they were offered now.)

Least favorites: Robertas & Cottage Farms; philosophy products since Coty bought them out; and the only thing I've ever returned since the early 90s: a Zakarian wine bottle opener (pure garbage).

I've learned a lot about the quality of different designers and not to get caught up by their spiels.
