We don't really get the spring and fall experience here in Florida. Just winter to summer. DH & I are missing Pa. and we'll really miss our trip south in Oct. thru the beautiful mountains of West Virginia, Virginia & North Carolina. Always gorgeous in the fall.We have decided that next year we are going to go to Pittsburgh for the month of Oct. as we both feel we'll enjoy fall up north the most.

@151949

That sounds perfect! I was just thinking I’d love to spend every October in PA! It is breathtakingly beautiful in the fall. I do love Florida but I always miss fall.

I'd like to spend every Oct there too. This is our first year to not go home at all, and we are a bit homesick. We are looking for somewhere to stay next fall that is more out in the country , we aren't really city people. Our niece has a camper in Slippery Rock, Pa she said we could use but that is a bit too far away from Pitts. and Oct in a camper might be pretty cold for us, as we are used to Fl. heat now.

l will state it again: I miss New England!

It's still 90 degrees; at 9pm yesterday it was 85 degrees.

My heat rashed skin is not happy! DH insisted that we attend a BBQ yesterday that was mostly outdoors. I was sneaking away to the A/C when I couldnt take it amymore.

DH's job last night was to cover the upper part of my back in Chlobetasol- a powerful corto-steroid. I had to take an Rx antihistamine.

Slept well.

Thank you for posting the link @feline groovy.  That was really interesting.  It looks like peak for my area will be the end of October.  I love fall.

@Spurt.  Thanks.  Looks like the Colorado Aspens will be a week or so late this year.

@just bee.   I've actually had my A.C. turned off; how about you?

Haven't turned it off yet, but it's not coming on as often so I'll be looking forward to the next PNM bill.  Then we'll start the game of how-long-can-we-go-before-we-turn-on-the-heat? Woman LOL
