Puddles, my birds Poppi, Peewee (RIP) and Presto looked alot like the birds you have featured in the nest above. The trick is feeding their bobbling heads without getting the food in the respiratory tract {#emotions_dlg.unsure}

Bird mama, I love your pictures of the Masked Trogon. As you've probably figured out, I love the birds of color! It must be a trick to feeding baby birds! I would be so scared of choking them.

Was soooooooooo happy today. Although I did a lot of running around Stripes spent a lot of time here. Last night Tessa got him in and he was a happy soul inside. I let him out about 5:30 in the morning and I went running around. On of my touching base back home, he was stretched out in the shade in the grass. Went over to him and picked him up and brought him inside. He stayed there until about 3 something this afternoon. I let him out again so am hoping he will show up again - it is horribly humid outside so suspect it is bothering him also. He sure was a snuggly last night. He got up on the bed with Conrad, Miss Blackie and me. Ahhhhhhh, for the days I had my bed to myself. LOL. Love them all dearly. The kids two ornery young kitties tore up my bedroom again and went tearing through the house - and of course messed up my TV this morning as they knocked the remote off the table - they do that often and sometimes they step on the buttons and mess up everything. Took me close to a half hour to get the TV back on. Grrrrr. They are cute but can sure tear things up. Miss Gizmo goes to get her annual shots tomorrow morning.

Later in the afternoon tomorrow am going to a 67th wedding anniversary - such lovely people and they are among the first I met when I came to California in 1960. I dread the heat however as am sure it will be outside. If so I will not be able to stay long. It is at one of their daughter's home here - she has a lovely home and quite a large and gorgeous yard. All five of their children have done super well. NONE have gone to college yet ALL are quite wealthy and have worked very hard. I think that must be a sign of super parenting for sure. When I look at them I remember them as young kids - my daughters age and we spent many hours at their home. They now live in Arizona but come here in the Spring and will be heading back to Arizona in about a month or so. She is worried about her hubby a bit as he is showing some minor signs of dimentia - she is watching his driving but so far he is doing ok. She says if she feels the time will come he must no longer drive she will not hesitate to make sure that happens. They adore each other. Not sure of her age but he is 87 and works super hard even now. He plants a garden every summer here and mows his daughters lawn, etc. Heck, I am not 87 but cannot do that. Stay cool everyone!!!

She's known as Sophie the Scottie Dog. I think she's perfect for the role......

Hi Birding Friends. Hope you had a good week and have a relaxing and nice weekend.

Winifred, Loved your post and am so glad you had a really good day. Glad to hear Stripes has been 'good' lately. Maybe he's realizing how good he has it.

It's late, but I wanted to stop by and say hi, to all my Birding Friends. Hope to perch here tomorrow sometime. Not much going on here, I just had to round Fred up and herd him in off the patio. Somehow a tree frog got onto the patio. It's totally screened in but somehow this frog got on there and Fred was stalking it. I finally caught it and put it out in the yard. Lots of tree frogs singing in the back yard. It's still sprinkling out a bit and they seem to love that. It took a bit of doing + a few squirts from the water bottle on the grill, but I got him in and am now heading for the shower.

Have a fun time tomorrow at the party Winifred. Take care in the heat.

Waving to all Birding Friends. Be safe and take care.

Oh my goodness Possum, that doggie sure looks a lot like Conrad. He went to the Beauty Shop Thursday and came home with a pretty scarf on also.

Sure wish the humidity would back way off again - it is so horrible when you take a step or two and gasp for air. Darn it anyhow.

Woke up with a queasy tummy and that is something I rarely have. Hopefully it will go away. Also had a headache and that too is not any too common with me. This getting old sure is heck isn't it? LOL.

Feathered friends had a lot of food as yesterday I finished filling the feeders. Started late Thursday so they had not eaten any too much. Am sure by now they are perhaps mostly empty again. They are full one minute, you turn your back and bingo, empty.

Hope all ahve a great day. Stay cool!{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}
