People are soooo rude. Rude to the performer and the others who paid good money. Then they have to put up with that carp.

I wonder if that was the person who threw their cell phone at Bebe Rexha. She had to end the concert to go get stitches in her face.

Concert goers should be careful who they're attacking since they might end up making the wrong artist mad. Cardi B recently pelted her microphone at someone who threw a drink on her.

I read about that today.  I believe that incident was a publicity stunt because it was "liquid" & not something that would cause blood to be drawn.  Cardi saw how much attention other "singers" were getting from objects being thrown on them.  Cardi B is also an attention wh__e.  She probably asked herself, "why didn't I think of that?"

TMZ has the whole incident on video & it looks as if the "incident" was a set up.

@Mz iMac That's a shame. I don't mind the abusers getting some of what they dish out. I read she threw a mic at a DJ recently as well so maybe she has a problem with her temper.

Re: Audience Members are Throwing Objects at Stage Performers - Why?

Some years ago I worked security for a few concerts at our large arena.  I worked several positions.  The first was at the door when we inspected purses for water bottles, food of any kind, stuff that could be thrown.  Those were confiscated.  These days you can't take in a bag that is any larger than 4.5" X 6.5" or you'll be turned away.  You can buy food inside (for half your paycheck) but it will be in paper or styrofoam.

If a person was drunk and acting up we called the big security guys and they came and escorted that person out.  I worked one concert that Tim McGraw and Faith Hill were headlining.  Some foolish female at the front of the stage decided to reach up and grab Tim in the crotch.  She got thrown out real fast after Faith came out and chewed that woman out real good.  It was after that concert that I read that Tim himself threw out a couple of guys himself for being but heads.  He'd had enough.

I remember a Neil Diamond concert when somebody was throwing quarters at him.

Never is it ok to hit, throw, spit, attack anyone. You're there for a performance and it's not yours, and uf you can't have self control then do others a favor and stay home. You're a nonsense and danger.
I'm more than tired of reckless behavior, regardless of the recipient.
We live in a society where there's no control. NONE. People react and boom. They laugh it off, no responsibility, no remorse, no ethics.
I'm sure if the situation was turned around this would be a different story.

Re: Audience Members are Throwing Objects at Stage Performers - Why?

[ Edited ]

I read that throwing things at performers on stage is a tik tok challenge...they should ban that ridiculous platform as it seems to drive much of the insanity that we see in the streets, in schools, etc. Several performers have been injured by these so-called "fans". I hope they are caught and the performer presses assault charges. I guess when there are hundreds of fans pressing the stage it can be hard to know who the specific person is who throws the things that cause injury. Maybe they will have to start putting up huge screens of plexiglass around the stage; you might as well watch at home on a screen.

Fan behavior at live concerts has really gone downhill. Just basic civility seems to be becoming a thing of the past. I would have no desire to attend a crowded, live concert now.

As I recall, Pink had someone throw a deceased person's ashes at her. Our society has gone downhill to think this is acceptable behavior. Nowadays, anything and everything goes!!!🤔

Re: Audience Members are Throwing Objects at Stage Performers - Why?

In their formative years, these folks who throw things on stage at live performances were shielded from all consequences of their behavior at school, at playground, in the community.  The objects that they are now tossing can inflict, and have already, serious personal injury.

Why should we expect any more from them now ?  Why should they expect serious consequences ?  They can hide behind the anonymity of huge crowds pressed tightly together...

These throwers can be charged with assault and if they throw and hit the performer and the performer had reason to believe they could be hurt, it can also be battery. They should be charged. If someone on Tik Toc is telling someone to go out and commit a crime they can also be charged in some cases.
