I was reading your post earlier and am so sorry about your dog. We had to put our 17 y/o down 2 months ago today.....

Please go to Petfinder d o t c o m and you can type in your zip code and type of animal, etc. and find exactly what you want.... you can get a dog for $150 and up. Give it a try at least and see what comes up... You can spend hours just looking at the pictures - they are so cute....
