Don't worry about that ((survivor))! Everyone should understand how upsetting this process is. I sure do. But don't become discouraged. Likely that is exactly what they did - transferred internally. It's no reflection on you at all.
I have just prayed that today's interview goes well for you. Maybe THIS is the position that you're meant to have.

Any updates regarding your last interview? Wishing you the best.

2000survivor -
As a fellow job seeker, I really, really, really hope and pray you get this one!
I know all too well what you are going through!!! It is encouraging that you are getting called for interviews. That is certainly a great boost.
My story is worse in that I've had no responses for an interview since March. Just a few minutes ago, I replied to a job posting that was just put on there and immediately received a rejection response via email that was clearly already set up stating that they they've chosen another candidate. LOL! I'm tired of it already. I try to keep my spirits up and am normally a positive person, but I've had to recently seek mental help for my anxiety and depression. A relative of mine suggested it and is helping me with the payments since my insurance does not cover mental health. I've only had a few sessions, however, this doctor really has no clue how difficult the job market is right now. Ahhh, I really think I need to switch to a doctor that has some idea of what is going on with the mental health of soooo many people searching for employment.

I was stunned about the job that the position was cancelled, here's why: when I was called for the interview I was given a choice of Friday or Monday. I chose Friday, then first thing Monday morning cancelled. Then about a week or so later it's posted again! This is a state job. I hit the apply button to apply again. I simply don't understand. Leogirl: I agree, I would want a therapist or counselor that understands and knows what is happening in the job market.
Oh no! I'm sorry about the cancelled position. It's posted again? The games that are played are so unbelievable. I feel like screaming for you. Sending hugs back to you!!!

FYI: If it's a large institution OR if it has a union, the original job posting or the application process must have had something done wrong procedure-wise (either it wasn't posted internally for the correct amount of time, an internal candidate was overlooked--and sometimes the hiring manager suddenly comes up with someone THEY want to hire who didn't interview the first time around). Also it may be that the original "line" or "FTE" equivalent was cut and the powers that be took another open position of a different title and made it into the job you interviewed for. Even so, the posting and application process has to start all over again...

Prayers continue for both you (((ladies))). For success in finding a good therapist, too, LeoGrl.
