The only photo I have on here is my avatar.  Photo of my 1st Keeshond ~ Mistic.

@bonnielu

Yes, of course! Not saying what year the pix was taken, but yes. Really don't have many pix of just myself, none recent for sure. Think I posted 1 some time back, or maybe I sent it to a friend from here we met in real life, not sure.  My wife keeps telling me how old I look when at my present weight. I keep telling her "I don't care how old I look, my main concern is how I feel".

When I see a picture of someone that is posting it, how can we be sure "it is what it says it is"?  TRUST your instincts!

Re: Are you comfortable posting a picture of yourself?

We've all heard of the scam where grandparents get a message that grandchild is in trouble somewhere and needs money sent to get out of it.

I've heard the scammers get the information they need such as grandchild/grandparent's names and ages, sex, email, etc. from social media (mostly Facebook) postings.

I have posted photos. If you would like, it is easy to use a software feature that can block out your face. Remember the famous "blue dots" from the old Court TV shows? This is me with that feature.

Re: Are you comfortable posting a picture of yourself?

I don't even like to be in photos, and it annoys my friends because they don't get it.  I've always been that way.  I'm all about the animals and a lot of my FB friends seem to be the same since most of our profile pics are of our pets.  With all that said, I have no problem with others posting pics of themselves and their families.  Fun to see.  None of them seem to be paranoid about their security.  Good for them.

I have posted pics of myself in the “outfit of the day” thread, so yes, I’m comfortable with it. It’s fun and I’m a very casual dresser. There are some wonderful ladies on that board. Always positive and never cut each other down. I much prefer that to the negativity and snarkiness of other threads/posts frequently on here.

I have no issue, so much so that my avatar is a recent photo

Re: Are you comfortable posting a picture of yourself?

I used to post a few pictures on face book here and there.  The 'kids' I grew up with (all through high school) all keep in touch with each other.  Many of them still meet once or twice a month.  We are all in our 70's now.  It's fun to know about them.

My daughter's don't post as much as they used to either on FB but they do a little.  Enough to keep in touch with all of their friends since childhood.  The youngest one (38) is getting organized for her high school reunion.  They visit with each other now and then.  When traveling they stop off and visit each other, it is good.

As far as posting pictures mostly I text pictures with family and friends (as does my family to me).  It's fun to see what everyone is up to on a particular day.  It often brightens up my day.

As far as posting here, maybe I would now and then but I've never been able to figure out how to do it.  It's probably just as well......

I do keep in touch with 2 people here.  ECBG is one of my favorite people.  She and I talk and do emails and text each other.  She's an amazing person.
