Re: Are you a ""list maker""?

I am sometimes a list maker who then usually misplaces the list. I'm an abstract random who wants to become more concrete sequential, but has a hard time in the follow through.

Re: Are you a ""list maker""?

It depends on how busy I am. If I have a lot to get done and I'm going crazy, I make lists. If its to go to the grocery store to buy our every day items, no list necessary.

No, it wastes time and results in a lazy brain. What happens if you misplace the list, you're lost in a sea of where am I, what am I supposed to be doing, what should I buy...

......which is where most people are lost if they don't make a list in the first place! Lists are great organizational tools. What's "lazy" and "time-wasting" is not bothering to organize your thoughts, list needs, and prioritize tasks in the first place.

Most Definitely! I make lists at home and at work!

Re: Are you a ""list maker""?

I have always been a "list maker", and the best part for me is when I get to cross off an item on that list. Lists keep me on track whether it is a project for a day or a week.

People should use their brain to organize their thoughts and make mental notes of what needs to be bought or done. Maybe that's why children are forgotten in cars, it wasn't on the list to drop them off.

Re: Are you a ""list maker""?

Yes, I am a list maker. I still use a Weekly Appointment calendar and include not only appointments but To Do lists and/or things I need to remember. Just a one or two phrase line will remind me of what I must do. It's also great to have that book to refer back to an earlier date and I've done that many times. I also keep my former books on file for reference as needed and have referred to them on many occasions. I guess it's almost like a mini Journal.

Possible sign of adult ADD. I speak from experience. Interesting topic to research, and there is help available. To some extent, we all have ADD, especially in today's world where it demands multitasking, but many actually do have ADD. I didn't realize how difficult I was making life for myself. Not that I was unhappy, I've been very accomplished, but looking back I see how i have applied more effort to things than typically needed. Being more focused has helped me to be more organized, and provides the ability to accomplish much more in less time and much less effort.
