I still don't care for the name but the meaning is very nice.  There are many other traditional names that have a nice meaning too.

Thank you for posting this. When I first heard the name Archie I wasn’t sure I liked it. Knowing the meaning behind the name has really changed my perspective.

Archie? Really? Reminds me of Archie Bunker or the comic book character.  Don't care for the name. Who is going to know about the meaning as he grows up?

I think the name Archie is traditional in England.

It didn't hurt Cary Grant much. His real name was Archibald Leach

The meaning is lovely but unfortunately no one will be thinking about the meaning of the name after next week.  So much better to have a nice name than a nice meaning. Oh well, their baby.

I think it's cute and so is the baby. It is just as easy to say something nice as it is to insult the baby
