The pictures of the park look so muddy and bad. They probably have not been out much... slipping and falling could be so tragic
❤️
@LTT1- did you see the video that Jordan put up the other day where he toured the park? Pouring down rain and they're trying to get construction finished for their opening this Saturday. They had a lot of stuff to get done.

Ridiculous amount of rain lately. More rain in store for the weekend. Just gotta hope that the weather person is wrong.

@LTT1 and other posters: I just had to share this!
I went to a local craft show this evening. There is a lady who does scherenschnitte. She does a lot of Disney images and others that are popular. There on the wall was an 18 x 20 picture of April and Taji! I was so tempted - if Oliver had been included I would have bought it! ![]()
@cancun08 - You said your family lives about 20 minutes away. I grew up going to that area. My one uncle settled there and married someone local, then my other aunt and uncle followed him later. My grandmother eventually moved up, probably to help with her oldest grandchldren. I went there for years every summer and sometimes other times of the years. When I was 14, my mom took me up to stay for the summer. My family is gone now, so the last time we were up was probably 6 years ago. They lived in Bainbridge and Sidney. A shopping trip to Oneonta was a treat, and a trip to Binghampton was a BIG treat! I probably went by the farm where Animal Adventure Park is a number of times!

Oh wow....small world! I am familiar with every place that you've mentioned!

Yes, i saw that video. Lots of construction with their windfall of $$$$$. They tried to do too much at one time. They should have concentrated on paving the roads and those permannent restrooms. This place is a petting zoo. I dont understand why anyone would locate those animals up in that area. When i was a kid there was a "zoo" not too far from there up around maybe ticonderoga , Ausable Caverns or something like that or so that opened in the summer, June, July and August. I remember my brother playing with bear cubs. This park reminds me of that, but out in a farm, a real muddy farm now,

@cancun08 - I'm not surprised. Thanks for the link. It looks like it's going to be a horrible weekend all up and down the east coast. The Weather Channel said earlier if it were colder this would be a major snowstorm. Thank goodness we don't have to worry about that! Although with the temperature here in the low 60's, it feels like it could snow!
I hope they don't get more rain up there. I'm sure the park, and your family, have both had enough!

Rain up there today and tomorrow, and cold. Just in the forties on Monday. All those people that are coming better bring mudboots and raingear and coats! Cant imagine the giraffes will even be out.
