Re: ~ Apple Releases iOS 8.4 for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch ~

I've been playing around with it since this morning. It's worked flawlessly. Although the For You feature is extremely mainsteam and limited. It would so much quicker if they used Genious and based it on music you already have in itunes or let you type in manually which artists are your favorite instead if giving you options to choose from. I went through it 3 different times and could only find one band that's a favorite. It was frustrating and never gave me the what I wanted.

Like itunes, you have to know who you're looking for because the navigation is horrible.

I will pass this on to others so thanks for posting. But for me well, my iPad doesnt update, its the older one. (I have an Android tablet I like better anyway). But I tried before w my iPad when they released others. Also I buy vinyl and cds and real books (hardly use my Kindle). Call me old fashioned :-)

Jaxs Mom - if you hit the "My Music" icon at the bottom right within the app, then click one of the songs or artists in your library. You will see little dots to the right of each song, or artists. Click on those dots, and you will see "start a Station".

This is how you will start to build stations around artist or songs you like. The app will need some time to get to know you. As you listen to songs, you will see a little heart in the left hand corner. Songs you like, click the heart. This will help it to get to know what you like and don't, and will build up the stations to play the music you like.

You can also click the three dots and download, or add the songs to a playlist. But between the combination of you music library in My Music and the stuff from the Apple Library that is not yours and your listing too, you will be able to heart what you like and start getting the app to get to know your likes.

Also you can click on new, then at the top middle on the menu bar area, click on the drop down. Then switch from all genres to one that you like. Just scroll down the list to find one.

One your in new from the genres you like, you can scroll down within that and find a bunch of stuff related just to that. New songs, videos, top charts,,etc. with each section there is a show more...click that to see more within the genre within the list that your looking at.

Thanks doo. I got the notice and my ipad and iPhone are downloading as we speak. Hmmm. Does that sound kind of naughty...downloading as we speak? LOL.
