Re: Anyone else pretty much quit watching QVC on the weekends with such lame programing?

I never watch on purpose anymore but occasionally click over during a commercial to see if anything interesting is happening. I saw David's antics today with some sort of braided pastry

I do check the recently aired shows online. The Christmas shows totally turn me off but someone's obviously buying.

I can't get this link to copy -- you can paste it in your browser or if you want to go to this blog directly, you can find the working link on "The Q We Love" on a thread called "What Do You Remember about QVC"...Jaspersmom posted it. For anyone who might not have been around "in the good old days" of QVC, Steve Bryant was a host that so many people really enjoyed. He's gone on to other things (probably bigger and better), and apparently writes a blog about a lot of different subjects. This is what he has to say about what has happened to QVC over the last several years. And what he says is so true, because the same things are discussed all the time here on the forums.

That was an interesting read, kittymomNC, from Steve Bryant. I'm going to read the original thread.

I never watch QVC anymore. I quit almost two years ago because I was spending money on frivolous things I never used. My debit card is much happier now.

QVC really has nothing I want that I can't get anywhere else. It did get me started with Laura Geller though and I've used her products ever since. That's been about ten years now.

Wow, Steve summed it up well.

I rarely watch the Q anymore, but I enjoy this forum!

I dunno, but IMHO the programming almost every day is lame. The only shows I tend to watch are the garden shows, Your Home with Jill, or maybe an occassional holiday decor show. Even then, I am channel surfing. LOL

Same here, those are also the same shows I try to catch. I would also add that I do like the kitchen shows too but rarely do I watch anything on QVC anymore

Me too. In fact, I've pretty much stopped watching entirely. I just go to the Item Recently Aired pages and look at them. It's faster and I don't have to watch the shows.
