Re: Anyone Wearing Green Monday ?

I read yesterday that ST. Patty is a religious holiday, but the real ST. PADDY was born in Britian and was not Irish. Moved to Ireland and loved it. Died on March 17th. Just some trivia.

My family doesn't celebrate St. Patrick Day. If we celebrate being Irish we'd be wearing orange. I hated going to school and getting 6 hours of pinches for not wearing green. Came home black and blue.

There was no Britain then.

St. Patrick was born in a Welsh area where Welsh was spoken. That land is now a part of Scotland.

History says he was taken from his own land, not that he "moved" to Ireland. That practice was not uncommon in those days.
