Anyone Else Have Problems Using UPS My Choice?

UPS My Choice is horrible! I am filled with fear and dread when I see that QVC has shipped one of my packages using "UPS My Choice". Does anyone know why the packages are transferred between UPS and USPS? By design? During the transfer, the package sits for days on end. Under tracking, the delivery date is changed daily with an explanation of "Delivery Exception". I have a current package that has been stuck in NC for days (I ordered this package from QVC ten days ago), and I live in Virginia. I have also had a package that was lost recently using "UPS My Choice". I have never signed up for this terrible method of shipping. Anyone else have problems?

Never had a problem. I'm in Arizona and most of my packages from QVC seem to come from California and I get them in about 3 days even if they do transfer to USPS.

@Jeanne from VA,  "UPS My Choice" is not a shipping method/option.  My Choice is a separate program from the actual shipping.

 

I am finding that more and more entities are using UPS as the original carrier then transferred to USPS for actual delivery.  The majority of my recent Amazon shipments have been handled that way, UPS to USPS.

 

It appears that this latest method is nothing more than a replacement for "surepost" shipping.  It does make one of the My Choice benefits moot as I have not found a way to prevent the transfer to USPS.

Never heard of My Choice. We have Surepost and its great!

Most of my packages from all online merchants come using the the UPS/USPS option qvc has chosen because it's the cheapest.

 

I sometimes have a delay of a day or two while Newgistics, the company that does transfers, diddles around but most of my packages are delivered promptly.   It's Newgistivs that causes delays and posts those tracking messages, not UPS  or USPS.

I like to add my thoughts here...and they are confusingly jumbled because that's how I experience shipping services these days!

UPS... my very dear and devoted UPS driver who my complex has great respect for... well, I often get a text informing me that a pkg has been delivered (usually from QVC) when it hasn't.

 

Shop...what a horrible, frustrating app! I have no idea what purchase is ring sent! Can they not put a picture in?

 

A... well... I certainly cannot tracks pkg from them because the tracking numbers never make sense!

 

So...and this goes for every order...I need a picture of what I bought! How do I know and remember what the order # is? For heaven's sakes! 

Here is what it feels like to me: companies are saying this: "don't bug us...you will get it when we send it".

Why does it all have to be so mysterious?

@LTT1  Yes for sure shipping can be confusing.  What you can usually do for most sites that you have to "sign in" for like Amazon, Macys, QVC, HSN etc...you can just sign into your account and click on the order you are trying to track, and there should be an option to "track my order"   You click on that and it will give you your order tracking.  It makes it far easier than trying to remember order numbers/tracking numbers.  Pictures of what you ordered will be on the order you click on.  If you have signed up for the shopping site you can view all your orders and then track them from your account.  I hope this helps.  I know it made my life a lot easier.

@Meowingkitty All my packages, shipped by any other method, seem to be delivered in a timely manner/quickly. The "My Choice", even when shipped from the North, go to Butner, NC, instead of directly to Virginia. I assume that Butner, NC is a major distribution hub. That is when my packages sit for days and days. Thankfully, I don't get a lot of packages processed using this method.

@eadu4  Thanks for your response. I always use the online tracking number provided by QVC to follow the progress of my package delivery. That is where I can see the dreaded "Delivery exception", and view the progress (?) of my packages, static for days and days.
