Bought this large 40oz tub of Enstrom toffee today at a great price.  Very fresh maybe because it is only shipped from Grand Junction CO to Denver.

Buy 2, put one in the freezer.

We used to get this for Christmas from someone and they were awful.  Hard as a rock and the top dusting was like sawdust.

@Kachina624   It sure is a great price!  And that is essentially what has happened, it is seasonal so I bought a back-up tub today.  

Do you have a nearby Costco?  

In addition to stocking up on the Enstrom also bought extra of the Roncadin pizza from Italy,   They are cyclical too.  Unbelievable.  Mushroom Truffle Garlic Sauce.

That means they were old.  Amazon sells it and it's awful, not fresh at all at least the one we tried.

@rockygems123.  We do have a a Costco not far but I no longer eat Enstrom's as those almonds are too hard on my teeth.  Love it though.

My mom was from Grand Junction and grandma sent us Enstroms for Christmas  for years, long before QVC ever heard of it.

So nice you had Enstroms growing up.  We grew up in SSF CA with one of only 2 See's Candie's factories in town.  Same, we always had it at the holidays.

I like Enstrom toffee better than See's

That is an excellent price. Unfortunately it seems to be a regional find. It's not available at my Costco, or online.

@Sooner, what you received was the almond dusted slap. Not the same as the petite bites. The slap is slightly thicker and in my opinion, not as easy to eat as the portion control bites.

@Etoile308.  Those almond crumbs are mighty good on ice cream.  I prefer the toffee in slabs; like Coke in bottles, it just tastes better.

The slabs are not hard as a rock.  As soon as you bite them they CRUMBLE and melt in you mouth.

@Etoile308 Must have been.  It came in smallish boxes and was simply inedible.
