4/14 Morning Update
April is already out and enjoying the sunshine for the day. Grain intake remains moderate. Light discharge continues. Otherwise, all is normal and well - as expected. The only real drastic changes we will see from here is active labor - no much more change / development can occur.
Again - please excuse the sporadic/tardy post times this month. We are in construction/opening mode and routines are no longer routines on the April the Giraffe side of our operation.
On that note - back to work! Lots to do, and little time!

Giraffe Factoid: Numbers Game We Cannot Lose!
Estimations as of 2016, indicate that there are approximately 97,500 members of Giraffa in the wild, with around 1,144 in captivity. Conservation and preservation efforts are no joke and need your help now!

Oliver was playing with April yesterday, albeit enthusiastically, he's still a kid, and I think April can take care of herself, remember she has great kicking power as do all giraffes, and would use it, pregnant or not, if she had to. Originally, when I saw this neck rubbing behavior by April, I thought she was scratching her neck as I see her do it on the wall, lol, maybe some of both.

Mousiegirl - This wasn't neck rubbing like April does for affection, or scratching. It was winding up and delivering a blow by Oliver, not April.

And the live feed is down again. Someone cut the plastic that was flapping in front of the camera and then it went down.

@HerRoyaLioness I saw it live, and that is not the way I interpreted it. He is a male, enthusiastic, even the Park people said it was nothing. April could kick him if she thought it was necessary, but I interpreted it as he was just being a pest wanting to play, and she wasn't interested.
