Re: Any updates when posting from ipad/iphone will be fixed?

Because there are many threads on this topic, I want to add my post from another one.   I'm reading numerous threads and see that this problem affects a wide variety of devices.

The problem seemed to begin in the early hours of 5/20/16, so it's highly likely something was done to the software the night before or on that early morning.    That, alone, should be a good clue for the tech staff.

There's absolutely no reason this problem should still be here inching toward 9 days after the first reports.    It's not something the moderators can fix...  and unfortunately they're the ones who have to endure our wrath and frustration.

Maybe we need a new thread, instead of all the threads spread out over the various forums.   Or maybe we all need to post our views on all the threads.   I don't know what would help get this problem escalated to someone who will correct it.

One thing that would help:   we need for the moderators and some of the tech staff to actually log into the forums with these devices we're all using and see for themselves what's happening.

We should not be required to start entering HTML code, nor should we have to use the mobile view on those devices which allow it.    This isn't a problem with our devices, it's a major glitch on this website.

Dear Everyone:

Tap the brakes.

My posts are CLEARLY stating it shouldn't be my problem.

It's obviously a known issue....too many posters, including myself,

have tagged a mod and/or written the Powers That Be.

So instead of continuing to 'B' about it,

I was just offering a gentle 'workaround' in the interim to

make your posts look nice while using your favorite Apple device.

Why does it take so long to fix this????!!!!

Because the techs are like the warehouse-- slow and disorganized.

Getting mighty tired of the delays in fixing this forum.

@handygal2 and @JustJazzmom,  And also because the techs are isolated from the users...  the moderators are the buffer and hear the complaints, and we have no way of reporting these issues directly to the tech staff.    It's a very bad system, and instead of realizing the magnitude of the problem they count on us to help each other with rudimentary workarounds.    I think we probably need to be louder in our concerns about this, since it seems to have been given a very low priority.    Or, they might even have decided it's not the website's problem...  it's ours.    As someone who's been responsible for providing tech support for most of my life, in my opinion this is really not acceptable.

@dooBdoo Adding to the frustration -- it's a Holiday weekend so further delays.

The techs should be keeping us updated, not the Mods -- it gets to be like 'the telephone game' we played as children. Info passed to us might not be accurate unless it's directly from the main source (techs).

I've been on Internet forums for a long time and the excuses, lack of concern and the very way it's been handled and still being handled shows us that the Q as a company doesn't care. They want our $$ and that's it. They are not our TV friends or Facebook buddies, they just care about their bottom line and these forums are not high in priority to fix.

Wasn't the IT dept moved to Poland? Mane that could explain some delay, like commuication problems. But, I don't think Poland is celebrating Memorial weekend. Over a week with NO resolution is not acceptable.

Absolutely, @JustJazzmom.   I agree with everything you said.   I can tell by the moderators' responses to the various threads that they don't completely see what we're describing as the problems...  and this happens every time.    It baffles me that no one in tech support logs in and duplicates the problems, so they can quickly troubleshoot and correct them.   Also that we don't get frequent updates acknowledging the issues and letting us know what -- if anything -- is being done.

@MaggieMack,  They did move some sort of IT services to Poland, along with all the other jobs they moved, but the Community Forum is managed by Lithium web hosting services, and I believe they're in the USA and Australia.    Even so, these days it's not that difficult to provide IT support from anywhere in the world.

They are not going to fix it... this website has never been working right. They do not care.  I have given up.

I am having the same problem with my Kindle Fire, it's very frustrating.  It's been happening for days now.    You can't go backwards to retype or delete something.    So, forgive me for my recent misspellings.  Not my fault...lol   I think Qvc's techs are aware of the problem, they just don't know how to fix it.  And this board isn't exactly high priority for Qvc.   They'll figure it out eventually.  Maybe....
