Any North Carolina residents?

I am looking to find out where in North Carolina would you recommend to travel in the summer to get away from the high heat in North Florida? We have an RV and would like to go to the NC mountains somewhere that we can get away from the heat and humidity? If anyone who lives there or travels there, could give me some ideas it would be greatly appreciated. We are talking probably a 2 month period of time. Thank you....DB
