Re: Any Fruitcake Lovers Out There

@rockygems123   Thanks for the heads up.  We love the Beatrice individually wrapped fruitcake.  I've been getting for a few years.

The Amazon version that I found was chocolate coated.  I'm not brave LOL.   I ordered from Q.  Thanks again!

ONLY if the fruitcake is doused with PLENTY of rum or brandy...

@Desertdi We make them with the old Betty Crocker recipe but add a lot more good fruit.  We make them in November and keep soaking them in Grand Marnier frequently until December then they will keep until spring.

We make a big batch in small tins and enjoy them a LONG time!  They live in the fridge in the garage!

Re: Any Fruitcake Lovers Out There

I've loved fruitcake almost all of my life.

Now that I'm thinking about it, when I was a very young child, my mom, every year, had clear plastic containers of chopped glazed fruit for her holiday cookie recipes.

She would let me have a spoonfull of glazed fruit after she was through combining the cookie ingredients.

I patiently waited and waited........
