@dennylilly

As others have sympathized, I am very sorry you are feeling poorly.

Yes, I have had anxiety combined with panic attacks originated because, as an only child, I was responsible for my mother who had dementia.  I was also working in a very stressful environment. That's my story, I won't go into further details.

I realized I needed help, because I couldn't live with the level of anxiety I was experiencing, so I contacted a therapist.  Talking helped, but still needed anti anxiety meds.

It's a wise choice to find a therapist.  If possible, get a referral from someone who uses or has used a particular therapist who helped them.  Just picking a name from a list usually doesn't work out.

Get an entertaining book to read while you're on vacation!  It will take your mind off your problems.

Wishing you the best!

What has worked for me for anxiety is the supplement L-Theanine. It's an amino acid made from tea.

It is safe and calming. I will take during the day and also at night before I go to bed.

Usually comes in 100 mg. pills and I take about three at a time.  I have tried Natural Factors chewables and Jarrow gummies .

Look it up, I think it would help.

Also for headaches, taking magnesium might help. I take Magnesium Citrate every day.

I posted about my headaches recently and now I am not sure what is going on with chest pressure that is not pain.  I was given an EKG along with some type of bloodwork to check out my heart and it was OK.  Not sure if its anxiety or indegestion ( i am taking previcid for that and have for years).  The headaches are minor compared to this.  Trying not to worry but I am on vacation and to say the least this is ruining it.

Tell me your stories about this if you have any experience.  I am going to buy some antacids to see if that helps.  It is not pain but if its anxiety how do I not be anxious every time wondering if its gonna be pain?

Thanks again.

When I first experienced acid reflux, I bolted to the Dr., sure that I was having a heart attack, with the chest pressure!

I do have high BP (on meds for that) and was already taking Prevacid, so I seriously thought it was my heart.

After tests. etc., my heart was fine, but an upper GI showed a lot of irritation in my stomach still.

My Gastro added generic Prilosec and I've been taking both for over 10 years and those symptoms have never recurred.

I am NOT a Dr., nor giving medical advice, I'm simply relating my experience, which is similar to yours.

Your headaches and anxiety could be stress related, due to worrying about what's going on.

You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

I don't have any ideas on your chest pressure but please beware of long term use of Prevacid.  Go online and read about it's possible side effects.  Does your doctor know you've been taking it?  Mine took me completely off of it when it started to affect my kidney functions. I now get by on acid reducers.

Since you're already on vacation, to ease your anxiety temporarily, can you try Chamomille tea, ginger candy, or peppermint?  Just to get you through until you can get proper medical care.  I have a nervous stomach a lot these days, and I find those items I mentioned have helped, at last for the time being.

@dennylilly Just reading that your mind is still on it. That's exactly why you need some help to find a way to deal with this and not live your life with such anxiety. It must be miserable.

Please get some assistance in dealing with your anxiety. It sounds crippling. That's all I have to say and wish you well.

Just try to relax & let all these thoughts go. When they start to creep back in, try to think of something happy...something that brings a smile to your face. Sometimes I just say, God give me strength. I know you may think this is easier said than done, but just try it. I really think you're okay.😊❤

@dennylilly   I'm sorry you're not feeling well, but you should really be speaking with your doctor before self-medicating with antacids on top of prevacid.  You don't say if you're also taking anti-anxiety medication, but if you are, that's all the more reason to be concerned about possible drug interactions, which could create a whole host of new problems.
