I posted about my headaches recently and now I am not sure what is going on with chest pressure that is not pain.  I was given an EKG along with some type of bloodwork to check out my heart and it was OK.  Not sure if its anxiety or indegestion ( i am taking previcid for that and have for years).  The headaches are minor compared to this.  Trying not to worry but I am on vacation and to say the least this is ruining it.

Tell me your stories about this if you have any experience.  I am going to buy some antacids to see if that helps.  It is not pain but if its anxiety how do I not be anxious every time wondering if its gonna be pain?

Thanks again.

You want to read stories about other people's discomfort from chest pressure, anxiety, and indigestion while on vacation?  Hope you can find a way to relax and enjoy your time off.

Medicines can cause that. If you are taking  certain meds ,check with your pharmacist

yes because if they are similar maybe they can ease my mind and i CAN enjoy my vacation.  Sounds crazy I guess....

Im currently in Chicago and am headed to Boston in a few days and really want to feel better soon if possible.  Dr says I'm OK. Wish it felt like it.

Sorry you are not feeling well. Hearing your heart is good should be a relief. For me, heat and humidity makes me feel off.

Sorry you are having to deal with this...if it is anxiety...it just makes it worse to worry about it! Am glad your heart is okay...be grateful for that. I have indigestion occasionally but it doesn’t really feel like pressure. Have you talked to the dr who prescribed the Prevacid?  Do you have indigestion or is it reflux? There are different treatments now so perhaps looking at a different option? No one here is a dr so am sure everyone is hesitant to actually give medical advice, but maybe your PCP can refer you to someone else and let them start from the beginning to get to the bottom of your chest pain/pressure. Headaches can go along with anxiety...and you can work yourself up into a full-blown panic attack if you can’t get answers. Will keep you on my prayer list...

@dennylilly   I get chest pain and pressure that goes down my arms sometimes when I am beyond stress.  I find that distraction helps me out.

There are quite a few books on DBT which talks about a lot of things but one thing they believe in is creating a list that you can go to and pick something to do when you are feeling out of control.

Lots of things from taking a walk, to cleaning, journaling, deep breaths or exercise...whatever distracts your mind works.    Find your happy places every time you feel off and it will lessen.

It has been so humid and hot here recently that just a few minutes outside drains me of my energy. The weatherman gives the temperature outside and then the “feels like” temp....that is the number that is dangerous because it is the one your body reacts to. Two days ago I had to go to Home Depot and pick up some birdseed....of course they have it outside behind their garden dept so there I was...even in cool clothing and a visor....and could barely make it back to the car before being worn out. The “feels like” temp was 112. I had a list of other places I needed to go but went straight home instead. Getting old isn’t fun in the heat!

@dennylilly Please understand I mean this in the kindest way. It might help to see a therapist who could teach you some relaxation skills.  You are worrying yourself sick, it sounds like.

I do hope you take this suggestion as it is meant Woman Happy

Don't worry I do take it as meant.  But when this happens like continously almost -I have my mind off it- I'm in Chicago on vacation- but I feel it and I am brought back to it.  I really am trying to focus on other things.  Thanks for your response I appreciate it.  My poor husband! He is a saint putting up with me.  My one comfort is he usually travels for work and he will be with me 24/7 for the next week if anything should happen.
