Now.....you could get prosecuted for that. I took one of my grandchildren into Wal-Mart's and she wouldn't stay with me. She was about 3 at the time. I caught up with her and said, "if you leave Grandma one more time, we will leave immediately and not stop at Arby's". She put me to the test and I walked out with her and went home. No toy....I put it back. It only took once. Her love of Arby's and toys kept her from doing it again! Ha!!!! At that age....they need a little incentive. I have never once had a problem with her since. If we could only get it in our heads to do what is best for the child ....not what is easiest for us. I actually hear mother's say...."but I don't want them to not like me". How sad is that? Kids raising kids. That's not to say that some parents get it. I see them around, too.....but more and more I am seeing parents who do what they like and what is fun and easiest for them....I know a psychologist who said to me once. ... Our parents were adults at 16, us at more like 21, our kids at 30, and their kids will be 50 before they grow up ${#emotions_dlg.scared}$ .........Oh, dear.

absolutely!! I was a PARENT, not a friend and Mr S too-----if they couldn't behave when out in public, they wouldn't be able to go---
