Another day, another SCAM

[ Edited ]

Last night I did a search for Clorax wipes even though I knew they were sold out in all the logical stores.

Up pops a lot of hits for a site called Jocasta, in Ft. Lee, NJ.  I checked and they had all the items that are sold out everywhere.  Hmmmmm, seemed suspicious.

This morning when I had more time I did another search and, no surprise, this is what I found.

I'm glad I am leery of almost anything anymore. Cat LOL

"Jocasta located at jocasta.site is a fake online store claiming to sell Charmin toilet papers, hand sanitizers, and personal protective equipment(PPE). Online shoppers run the risk of receiving counterfeit goods or nothing at all from the same store. Unsatisfied online users who have shopped on the untrustworthy website are asked to contact their bank or financial institution to have their transactions canceled and money refunded."

@Witchy Woman Good thing you are smart about this kind of nonsense. I actually found Clorox wipes at Safeway this week!

@Love my grandkids

I normally don't use them for anything other than quick wipes, so I still have some.  However, I wouldn't mind replinishing my supply.

I'll buy them locally when they start showing up again.  I just forget to look at the store on my weekly trip.

Just so much craziness going on, so I only trust places where I've shopped.

@Witchy Woman I agree. I do like to wipe down things every few days and only buy from retailers I know.

I know I sound like a broken record but at home you do NOT have to use disinfectants, unless some one is ill.  Hot water and your regular cleaner is sufficient to kill and get rid of CO19 and other germs and viruses.  Save your disinfectants for use when leaving home.

@Witchy Woman...you need to be careful of some of the 3rd party sellers on Amazon as well. I got scammed with what I thought was going to be toilet paper (ordered in beginning of March). I just received it for $48.00 and it was just a few rolls of cardboard with 10 sheets on each roll. I told Amazon about it but they told me to first complain to the vendor, who of course, has not emailed me back. Sigh..

Yes, I know this.

As I said, I only use them occasionally, so the containers I already have are several YEARS old.

Good thing you checked it out. There are a lot of those sites going on today. You have to check it out before making a purchase. You knew they had everything we cannot find so yes to good to be true.

There are all kinds of pop ups online selling items like hand sanitizer, clorox wipes, masks, toilet paper etc. Don't click on them. They are scammers after your money.

Hope they get some clorox wipes around here soon. I remove everything from my kitchen counters weekly to wipe down counters. I used to use them daily in the kitchen but not right now. I have been using a bleach mixture.

I aslo use the clorox wipes to clean the outside of the toilets & vanities in the bathrooms weekly.

@Trinity11

That's one reason I rarely order from Amazon!  So sorry this happened to you, but I would continue to pursue it if I were you.

I have Amazon Prime and have found some things there that were difficult to find elsewhere, but I hate that they are not more vigilent with who sells what on their site.

Hope you recover your $$!
