I read about this several weeks ago but it's still not available for us yet.

@San Antonio Gal

That's $40 in addition to the Walmart+ fee.  I would love for them to bring it to the kitchen bar but not put it away for me.  Not available for us anyway.

@rockygems123 : Darn - not available in my  area. Signed up to be notified when available in my area.

I am Blessed and believe in tipping anyone that helps me but to be given a pass on tipping would make a  difference.

I am handicapped with back problems and Walmart plus, Sam's Club delivery, Instacart and Grub Hub are a necessity for me. Expensive but makes a difference  for me.

Did it say how much they'd tip? I'm a fairly generous tipper so I'd want to be sure it's enough.

Re: Another Walmart+ Benefit

I am surprised how much I like Walmart since I joined the delivery service during the pandemic. It is easy and reliable. In November, when I was not feeling well, I was able to get come medications very quickly delivered. I recently read where Walmart is stepping up their delivery service because delivery is here to stay.

Delivery is very convenient for me.

Re: Another Walmart+ Benefit

@chessylady To me there is no competition here. I love Costco but still have Walmart Delivery. I drive by Costco multiple times per week and probably stop in at least 1 X per week. I love to see what items they have. I always pick up things like paper towels and toilet paper. Costco does not have everything that I need though. I also like Walmart delivery. It does not concern me about the Walton families money. As far as I am concerned, Walmart delivery was a lifesaver to me during lock-down in the pandemic. I do not like going into the Walmart store though.

Re: Another Walmart+ Benefit

@conlt I don't rely exclusively on Costco. I go to Safeway once a week and when I broke my femur, I used their delivery service and was pleaed with it. I also occasionally go to Trader Joes and Grocery Outlet both are like treasure hunts. BTW, TJ has a new night cream with Irish Sea Moss, Fermented mushroom complex and sodium hyaluronate which I like. Costco is my source for stocking up for the coming scarcities.

Re: Another Walmart+ Benefit

With just Walmart+ you should tip but have a choice how much-5, 10 etc %. These are delivered by an outside contractor. Usually 1 delivery person in their own car.

I had this before I got "inhome" and would have felt really bad if I didn't tip. They rely on tips as part of their income.So sometimes $5, sometimes $7 or $10. That adds up and gets expensive.

With added $40/a year "athome" there is no tipping and groceries are delivered by a Walmart employee

many times in a huge Walmart truck.

I was hesitant at first because I thought I can just go to the store and get things shipped too.

But for $40 I really appreciate it when I am sick or bad weather etc. They pack things so well too-all frozen together, everything very carefully.

The only thing I don't like is there is a 4-hour window to deliver so that takes up a lot of the day. You don't have to be home but I want to be to be able to put things away and also make sure things are not taken.

Some areas also have express delivery where they can deliver in 1 hour. You get one free one. There is usually a small charge for this. We don't have that in my area.

They probably need to have enough employees to have this!

@Kachina624was actually the one that had me looking into this after reading her post about it and with the encouragment of my daughters  so thanks again

40.00 a year sounds like a really good deal @rockygems123 .

@San Antonio Gal

I think so too.  Just signed up for a 30 day trial but will sign on for the year afterwards.

I got it last fall. It really saves a lot instead of tipping every delivery.

You still have to order at least a $35 dollar and up order. These employees are Walmart employees whereas just Walmart+ are not Walmart employee delivery people so you do tip, is how I understand it.

With Walmart+ you can have something shipped with no shipping even if it's 1 item and also not perishable. Sometimes it comes the same day from the store! You can't beat that!

But add "Inhome"for $40 a year and it's great to have delivery when you don't feel like going to the store or picking them up, and no tipping!

@on the bay

Good info thank you!  I just signed up for the 30 day trial but will continue with the Inhome for $40/year.

Love it like you say no shipping minimum (and $35 minimum for delivery).  Just don't need them putting the groceries away in my kitchen lol.
