4 day trip coming up

[ Edited ]

flying out of state June 2, direct flight from Clearwater to Grand Rapids MI  on a "budget" airline. Which will charge me $75 to check a bag. I'm real tempted to pack only a wheeled carryon for the overhead, and a large tote of some kind for under the aircraft seat. No checked bag. I have a wheeled carryon and might consider buying a Lug tote or duffel or something, as my second item. I'd use it again  in September for another short trip. And of course for road travel. I would def get my money's worth. Any suggestions for packing toiletries makeup etc? And recommendations for a Lug travel bag?

I went away on Delta last year and carried a Lug PJ Backpack which is huge, lots of organization, and it fit under the seat. I also have some smaller Lug plastic zip containers which is how I pack my makeup and other stuff inside.

Just be careful if you're not checking anything that your toiletries can be carried on and are under whatever the requirements are these days. I always have a checked bag, so I've not done the carry only.

Have a wonderful trip!

So much for "bugdet" they get you one way or another.

wherever I go I never check my bag.  And I darn sure wouldn't pay $75!  I like getting out of the airport ASAP when I fly.  I hate waiting for bags.

By chance did you check Southwest Airlines? I don't think  they are charging baggage fees if you make a booking before May 28.

I would suggest taking a cosmetics compact that has foundation, blush, concealer in one. Laura Geller and IT Cosmetics both have these compacts.

I did. However they don't have direct flights from where I live to where I'm going, and I wanted that. Being such a short trip, and this being my yearly opportunity to see my daughter, I wanted the shortest travel time possible.

Are you sure that if you ordered a Lug bag from QVC that you would get it on time for your trip? A lot of unhappy people on these boards that don't seem to get their orders in a timely manner.
