Re: Another Tipping Question

I tip anyone who performs a service whether owner or not.

Re: Another Tipping Question

I don't care who owns the chair or their position in the business. If they are providing the service and have done it well, I will tip 20%. Their time and effort is just as valuable as someone that works for them.

Right! You should ALWAYS Tip your hair stylist no matter if they’re the Owner of a business in or out of their home.

AND anyone who works for them or rents a chair from them.

Kinda common sense here. 🥴

I just wish I could find a new stylist that understood my fine hair and how to cut it properly! My long time (40 years) stylist retired and the new one I went to just could not, or would not cut my hair the way I asked. It looked terrible for about 18 months and I gave up.

Let my hair grow out and go natural with no color. I have been trimming it myself. I like my natural color but would love to wear it shorter. Too scared to try another stylist and have another bad cut.

I would be glad to tip if I could find a good stylist!

My hairdresser is the part owner of the business.  I do tip her.  Although years ago, I remember hearing my mom telling me you dotn't tip the owner. but she's European, so that's probably not so.

I like her and my hair always looks good but I have to pay by cash or check.  She refuses to get a VISA,

@songbird 🌸

I noticed the salon I go to now asks customers how they’re paying. I always pay by cash, so I was curious and asked.

Those that pay with cash get a discount. 😎
