He did.  At first I thought it was an elaborate ruse to get out of going to orientation for a job he's not excited about.  I was prepared to drive him.Cat Wink

Re: Another Mess Created By Annabelle!

We used to make Spatini spaghetti sauce at PJ parties back in the early 1960's.  It was in a little packet and you combined it with tomato paste and water or oil. It was awful. They still make it?

LOL, I put oil or butter in my pasta water so it's exceptionally slippery.  Once I sent a plate of it into my dishwasher.  Smiley Happy  Clean dishes of course, I was setting it down on the pull out cutting board to get a fork.

@lolakimono  ...

I'd started a thread on the FF asking about BF ... then came over here and saw this.  So I quickly ran back and canceled my thread.

Glad to hear he's on the mend and none the worse for wear.

Re: Another Mess Created By Annabelle!

@muttmom Yes!  They still make Spatini.  However, you have to special order it from places and it comes in restaurant size (huge).

I get it from a place in Vermont.  As popular as it was, no one could understand why they quit selling it at the grocery store.

Since they make restaurant size it leads me to believe that sometimes when people eat spaghetti at a restaurant they are probably eating Spatini and aren't aware of it.

OK, so I'm still working on the @#$ spot!  It's not like the rug was 'stain free to start with'.  You know how once you paint one room then you can't let the other rooms go unpainted.......(Oh! fooled you).....that's not me!  Ha!

I will get it up though.

Re: Another Mess Created By Annabelle!

OK, so I decided to post another 'chuckle'.  This one was not about me but about someone very close to me.  It is something I might do though.

So, let's call her Sally.  This is an absolutely true story!    Sally's 'adventures' make mine look/seem normal.  I'll tell you one of her adventures.  This was back probably around 1999.

Sally and her family are very well known in their community and especially in their church.  She's an amazing woman, ditzy but wonderful.

Sally went shopping at a very large department store in Washington, DC.  Her husband was away on a business trip.  After several hours shopping Sally comes out of the store to get into her car and drive home.

She was driving the BMW her husband usually drove.  She didn't have the children (5 boys) with her so she could enjoy tooling around with the BMW.

Sally didn't immediately see the car!  She walked the entire block.  Panic set in!  She called the police and told them her car had been stolen!  The police took the report but told her it had probably already begun to be stripped by the thieves.  She called her Mom and finally made it home.

She'd put it off long enough, she finally called her husband.  He calmed her down on the phone and made arrangements to fly home immediately (not attending a very important meeting the next day).  The only flight available was the overnight red eye.

He walked in the door, exhausted.  He contacted the DC police department and they said, "You'll never see that car again".

He told her "let's go to DC and maybe someone in the area saw something".

As they arrived at the store sitting right in front of them was their BMW!

She'd gone in one door and come out another side of the building.  The car was right where she'd left it.  They called the DC police and straightened it out.

True story.

This same Sally lived in a remote area, two lane roads.  People were always walking up and down the road.  She drove up to a group of middle schoolers.  She didn't recognize any of them and told them they should be careful on these roads, then she drove off.

The next day there was a knock on the door.  Two policeman said, "We are arresting you for hit and run".  She had no idea what they were talking about.  They showed her a sketch which looked exactly like her.  They said one of the children had been 'hit' by a lady in a car like she drove.  They didn't know the lady but the police had them draw a picture of the person who 'hit' one of them.  It sure looked like Sally.

Meantime Sally's husband gets home just in time to see her being put into the back of the police car (handcuffs and all).  All 5 of their children watching and crying.

Here's what happened.  When Sally drove off after seeing the children,  She'd run over one of the children's foot!  The kid goes home and his parents are like, what in the name of Heaven happened to your foot (it was swollen and black and blue).  The parents called the police and a warrant was issued.

Meanwhile Sally had no idea on what had happened.

Like I said this family is very well known in the community and their church.  When the children's parents found out what had happened and who the person was, they immediately dropped the charges because they knew Sally had no idea she'd run over the kid's foot (actually it was more like the toe).

That is just one of the crazy things that happened in Sally's life.  She's an amazing woman.  Ditzy, so ditzy she makes me seem normal.  Ha!  Our husbands are best friends but they never encouraged the two of us to hang around with each other because ...... well you heard of the movie Dumb and Dumber?  Our twosome would be more like "Ditzy 1 and Ditzy 2!  Ha!

None of those stories (I think) can match my story......I'll give you a hint.....it involves me, Jack the cat, and Mr. Mouse.....for another day!

Happy Easter!

Re: Another Mess Created By Annabelle!

@Annabellethecat66

Sorry, but I had to chuckle at your little fiasco.

For the occasional times you eat at home, I suggest you use a nice dinner tray.     I have a bunch of them and line it with a place mat, then set the plate, flatware and my little dish for vitamins on it and carry it to the living room table if watching TV or to the dining room table.  I ALWAYS carry the beverage separately ... trust me, it's better to carry it to the table.   What's also nice about the tray is that you can carry everything back to the kitchen in one trip ... for a fast cleanup.

Hope the stain comes out ....

Re: Another Mess Created By Annabelle!

@Tinkrbl44 I've been trying to eat more at home.  I do have trays (got the things from QVC, have one for the computer and one to eat on.

You are so sweet to think about me.  It was total carelessness on my part.  I always try to carry too much at one time.
