When are these idiots going to stop............I wasn't happy to see drones hit the market for the general public and I'm sure most use them responsibility, but the consequences for irresponsible use is major. Is it me, or does the world seem like the idiot/jerk population has quadrupled???? Are these jerks really going to feel good about bringing down a jet airlliner full of people? Everyday when I turn on the news, I just shake my head.

We're burying the lead.
The title should read,
"Drone hits airplane", or
"Drone hits British Airways airplane", or
"Drone hits British Airways airplane approaching Heathrow Airport"
Title makes it sound like there was a London airport specifically for drones & it was the big airplane encroaching on the drone territory...and British Airways was to blame.
The point-out isn't a "loose" vs "lose".
Original title of "Plane hits a drone landing in London" changes the entire story.

Oh, wait until we have drones flying overhead delivering packages and crashing into people, cars and homes. Can't wait! These things should be BANNED!

I just read an article on CNN's site in which they mentioned a study published last December of US airspace. Here's a clip:
"921 cases involving drones and manned aircraft between 2013 and 2015. Of those cases, more than one-third involved drones and manned aircraft coming within 500 feet of each other.
Our findings indicate that incidents largely occur in areas where manned air traffic density is high and where drone use is prohibited," experts said in a statement."
Most occurrences are in high density airspace where drone use is PROHIBITED??? Now, that's scary!

The FAA just signed off on my company's use of Drones so I am thrilled. We use them where we can not send in a person safely.
