IMO this has EVERYTHING to do with people being desparately in need of mental health care in this country and not being able to get it The lack of AFFORDABLE care for people who are mentally ill is staggering - our government allows health insurance to not pay for mental health care because it is a cronic and very expensive situation.

We used to have residential facilities in this country to house and care for people who were mentally ill but they have been closed and now patients are given  a Rx and sent home. No one supervises if they take their drugs so they don't, basically leaving them with no care at all. They either end up homeless and on the streets addicted to street drugs or if they have a caring family the care for them will end up tearing a family apart, because it is so frustrating.
