If true, I am very sorry to see the forums go.  I will miss checking out certain sites and familiar posters.  I don't understand why something positive has to be closed down.  I am not on facebook and will not ever join for reasons better left unwritten.

I won't be shopping at QVC after the forums go, most of the time when I visit the site it is only for the forums.  Whomever made this decision needs to rethink it and realize it is a source of fun and enjoyment for many people, why tear that down.

I'll join the FB page.

Hope others will also.

Although I don't post often, I enjoy coming here to read. I would definitely miss "seeing" everyone each day.

I have gone over to a place on Delphiforums . com called Wisteria Lane. The forum has a nice bunch of people, and they post the TSV's for both QVC and HSN. They also have daily threads with lots of interesting information.  I believe they've been around since 2008.

The host of the forum seems very nice, so maybe we could ask if they would be open to changing some of the folders to more closely resemble the boards here at QVC.

It is a free site, and when you register, you choose a nickname, so your real information is never displayed.

Once you register, you never have to post if you don't want to, but you are able to read all of the messages posted.

If you go to the main page at Delphiforums . com and enter Wisteria Lane in the search bar, you can find the forum.

I do not have a Facebook account, nor do I intend to have one, so this is a nice alternative for me.

I hope people from these boards go over to that forum.  It would be a nice way for everyone to still post and keep in touch.

I have no affiliation with that forum, I just think it's a cool place to hang out.

One of the great things about these forums is no annoying ads and pop-ups in your face every 2 seconds.  i look at Reddit sometimes  but to me it's cluttered and confusing -  with so many users you can't get to "know" anyone. i don't do FB (i do pay a price for this w some family members not sharing pics)  )

I've been posting on these boards since the old Shop Talk days when the format was totally different.

I'm not sure what impact shutting the forums down will have on peoples' buying habits.  I think it will have a big impact on mine.  I rarely if ever sit down and watch QVC anymore.  I will periodically glance at items on .com when I'm on this forum.  If I'm not coming to the website for the forums, I doubt I will come to the website at all which means less ordering.

Can't say I am shocked, but I am saddened that it has come to this. The QVC Facebook group is not of much interest or value to me as a place for discussion, so that's a no go. What's more disappointing is knowing that when moderation skews the comments to a love fest, objectivity is lost too. I will miss participating with this group.

I'm sad about it too. That was shocking to read.

I guess nothing lasts forever and I'm glad I got to have it for so long.

There are so many I will miss and just all around too reading so many ideas and reports from across the country, even across the pond!

Where will I get breaking news from first?! Or getting to see my "adopted" pets!! and deers!

I also looked up so many things mentioned here on the forums and then sometimes bought them that I wouldn't have known about-esp, the holiday things, Valerie and some fashion.

Now even though I did not watch a lot anymore I probably will not watch or order at all! Who could we talk about it all too and share opinions?!

I got off facebook long ago too. I don't think the powers that be realize the value of these forums to them.

I have laughed so much too over the years so many extremely funny ladies here!

The end of another era.

I know I will think of so many here for a long time and be glad we got to be

online friends at least for some "brief shining moments!"

Have hope and courage to us all.

It would be nice, before the board is gone, if they would let people post email addresses for those of us who would like to keep in touch.  Not holding my breath, but it would be the decent thing to do for those of us who have no interest in going back to Facebook.   Facebook is NOT the same thing as a board.

ITA. On 11/1 I'm sure a lot will be doing that.

You just have to be quick about it and  set up a different email address just for this purpose. Incorporate your Forum name if possible.

I have been here for about five years. Will miss the baseball thread and the person there who has been the kindest to me out of any poster ever here. Will miss the fashion forum.

Won't miss some things about these forums, that's for sure. I deleted my Facebook account ages ago and won't join again. I'm morally opposed to that place, even more so after 60 Minutes last night.

I won't be a QVC customer any longer, I was already hardly buying. QVC lowering their standards once again.

This seens like a financial shooting themselves in the foot.  Maybe there aren't enough of us like me who check out what is being discussed here on the forums then I check out what others are shopping for, what special values are current, other sales -- it's not infrequent that I place an order but it almost always starts with checking in here.

Without these forums that have all kinds of interesting topics, I can guarantee my orders will decrease simply because I'm not a shop-a-holic.  Over all these many years, it is people who have drawn me in.

Such a dumb move, QVC!
