Amber Heard's lawyers have filed an appeal on her behalf regarding the verdict in favor of Johnny Depp. There motion for a mistrial had been denied previously due to no evidence of juror fraud,

When the judge made the verdict official late last month, she ruled that the damages will come with a 6 percent annual interest, and noted that if Heard were to appeal she would have to post a bond for the full amount of the damages she owes.

Amber Heard is in an additional legal battle with her insurance provider over who is liable for paying her court fees.

This has been reported by People magazine.

We've heard way too much about this case already.  Enough!  At this point does anybody really care?  It was never more than a he said, she said situation and wasted entirely too much of some court's time.

I don't know, for an actress I had never heard of before the trial I'm finding her endlessly entertaining. Certainly not in the way I'm sure she intended, but still...

I've never heard (no pun intended!) of her, and I've never been a fan of his.  Thus, from the little I saw of the proceedings, my thoughts are that they deseve each other.

That trial was absurd grandstanding and abuse of the court system. The only reasonable outcome would have been for them both to have been declared guilty of, immature, substance impaired, abusive and narcissistic behaviors. They needed to throw this case out of court.

They need to go away now, but I get why Amber is upset. She thought she had it aced. She wanted her revenge. It's clear Depp was far from innocent. His popularity supported him, Amber's didn't. A wicked web.

Those who didn't watch the trial have reached their own opinions.

Those who did watch the trial think the jury reached the correct verdict.

Anyone not interested can simply pass the topic by.  (That's the standard advice most posters on these boards give to those who think something isn't worth discussing or has been discussed enough.)

BTW:  Seeking justice through the courts is never a waste of time.  Isn't that what the justice system is for?  Or should anyone be allowed to say/do whatever s(he) wants and get away with it, despite the damage to another person?  What if it were you or someone important to you?

@Somertime - Makes you wonder where she's coming up with the money for the appeal.

Can't afford to make the donations to the charities as she promised, but she can post nearly $9 million for the appeal?  Hmm.

"At this point does anybody really care?" @Kachina624

There are literally millions of people worldwide who followed the trial and many people are still very interested in and are following both the post-trial motions (denied) and now the appeal.

@Venezia

I listened to a video from Peter Tragos on the channel "Lawyer You Know" and it seems she only has to post the entire judgement if she wants to prevent Johnny from collecting before the appeal is denied.

Here's a link to the video or you can go to the "Lawyer You Know" channel and look for the video "Depp v Heard appeal Q & A."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWWiK82DVh8

At about 9:26 into the video Peter put up a Twitter convo between two Law Tube lawyers--Rob Moreton (Law & Lumber) and Andrea Burkhart (an appellate lawyer)--who believe she only has to put up a $500 bond, however, that means Johnny can then start collection proceedings immediately.

I'm sure we'll find out more as time goes on.
