I could see a sensitive 10 yr old girl who may feel very alone or vulnerable - still feeling very attached to her stuffed animals. 'Hope she's safe and things work out in the best way for her.

I just read online that the girl has been found unhurt. Someone at her home reported to police that she was home safe, and it isn't certain whether she just came home or was dropped off. Police will be investigating the circumstances.
