The alarm went off on my phone on my way home. An Amber Alert. I was home in 10 minutes. By the time I got home they had already found the little girl.

Now, I see this. OMG, I have no words.

That poor child. It has come to the point if I had a little one...they would never be able to walk alone or play in the yard...or ride bikes. How sad is it that our children are being murdered?

I was very protective before mine was a teen. Always supervised... Still am to a degree.

Sad. ..and a school employee. I am sure he did other things before being caught.

As the grandmother of small children, this strikes my heart. As a grandmother in MISSOURI, it is even scarier to me. These things always happen "somewhere else"....not so close to home.

What the frock is this world coming too?? I watch my 14 y.o. son walk to school every morning from my front door...even though he is surrounded by other kids and a crossing guard. The school is a three minute walk away. Call me protective, but so be it. It only takes a split second for a child to be kidnapped....

I was sort of worried that my 9-year old grandson likes to stay indoors and play computer games, card games, etc. most of the time. However, having him inside the house could prevent something like this from happening. I guess kids cannot even go outside and walk a block away anymore like we did when we were kids. We would stay outside playing until almost dark some nights. Now kids are safer being kept inside. Sad commentary on the way things have changed.

SuzieQ ~ If my son forgets something at school, I make him take a cell phone and call me when he gets there, and when walking home...for an extra sense of security. I don't want to completely be a hovering mom (he's 5'8" tall), but he's still my baby.....and psychos do exist.

I hope this sick excuse for a human being enjoys many years in the general population in state prison
