I know there are some posters here from Missouri. Wanted to post this, just in case, some of you are in the area. This is a stranger abduction.

  Missouri license plate #1YF454

At 4:48 PM, the Springfield MO Police Department received a report of a child abduction. It appeared Hailey Ownes, 10, was approached by an unknown suspect and then pulled into his vehicle. The child was last seen at 3200 Block W Lombard St, Springfield, MO. The vehicle left the location southbound on Scenic from Grand in Springfield, MO Please call 911 or KBI at 1-800-KS-CRIME.

betteb, this kind of news is so hard to take, but it's necessary. I thank you for posting it. I can't help but shed tears for this poor little girl, but I've said a prayer and will continue to do so.

Please keep us updated, if you can, please.

I will post back if I hear anything. I'm in Ks and the alert came over my TV. I think when one is issued, they go out to surrounding states.

I see. I hope they find her safe and unharmed. I have told DH to pray for her, too. He's a praying man and he will join us, as many others will too.

Just switched on our local FOX channel for the news. It is 1/2 over now, but they are pulling the Alert across the bottom of the screen. Right now they are giving the weather....it is 51 out there, so hope this precious little girl has a jacket with her. Such a pretty little girl. I hope and pray they will find her very soon.

Springfield is southwest of St. Louis.....the other end of the state.

They are saying the vehicle is a gold Ranger.......and the license plate is one of 2 possibilities.

Will definitely keep Hailey in my prayers. This is so sad.......

Yes, they do that in any of the states that are connected.......

They are saying the license plate is 1YF 454 or 1YS 454......apparently someone got the license plate number and saw this occurrence.

Thank goodness they didn't waste any time getting the ALERT out.

Edited to correct license plate #.....
